Just like Nospam, I was also able to bypass the update request until today. When I go to update, I'm told my phone is not compatible with new version. Now I'm unable to use the app as is AND can't update in order to use the svc. Wow...unbelievable. Thanks Verizon for absolutely NO warning that this update could prevent me from using. Was really great when my child tried to get a hold of me today & couldn't because of your update & give absolutely NO NOTICE to your customers!! NOT HAPPY!!

My wife has been using 3.0 and I have been using 2.x. in the last few weeks I've been getting a pop-up saying that I must update to 3.0 but I was able to bypass it and continued using the app. Today it will no longer let me bypass the pop-up so I may have to install the new version. I am so frustrated that Verizon isn't listening to our complaints!!!

I was forced to update the app before I could open it and now it is absolutely HORRIBLE!!! I understand they were going for a more modern look but not at the cost of functionality!!! Slow, lost features, messages aren't going through. GRRR!

Recent update is horrible. Loved the watch when it worked but after this last update I can no longer see or contact my kids. They are very upset as well. If considering this watch, I would think twice. This last update broke the app on my iPhone 8 Plus. Terrible and waste of money and took ease of mind away from my kids. That was the whole reason we purchased the watches in the first place. Haven’t even had these for a year and now they are useless.

My son has been wearing this watch since last fall. In early August they updated the app and almost everything stopped working. More than 30 days have passed and it still isn't working. I don't want excuses, I want it fixed! Why can't they just roll the App back to the last version that worked? I think it's time to complain outside this forum, shake the bushes and generate bad press for LG. Class action suit likely if that doesn't work.

For some reason, all the recent reviews from the past 3 months is no longer shown.....I’ve been using the reviews to see if the app has been fixed. Does anyone know the real status of the app? I have yet to update to any version of 3 and have been using the old version which works just fine.

My wife was able to download and install 3.0 today and has regained control over the Gizmo. The instructions say that other guardians will have to update but so far I have been able to use the old version without a problem. To Gizmouser I hope the new App Update works for you.

To Gizmouser, I think that under the circumstances that Verizon should let you cancel AND refund the cost of the watch. I think the next step is a TV or newspaper consumer advocate. If that doesn't work then you can request arbitration.

What do we do? It doesn’t appear the app will be fixed. Until they can fix it they should re launch the 2.9 version so we can at least use the device and get some benefit out of the monthly service charge. I cannot cancel or I pay a term fee!

I’ve been in constant communication with gizmo app people. They emailed me a link to click on to download the “latest” version of the App. The link says “TestFlight”. Therefore it’s an unofficial version of the app they are still working on. If you haven’t updated...DO NOT...until they have released another version officially in the App Store. Version3.0 in the App Store is not the latest version you must email them for them to send you a link to download the in progress version.

If it wasn't for the restocking fee I would of returned it to Verizon. Does not work for my husband's iPhone so I'm the only one who can track and send messaging to our son... What a waste of money.

Won't Pair with iPhone. :( Very unhappy with this.

The app was always slow, but since the update I have tons of issues. One daughter shows up on both dashboards rather than having one for each. My daughter that doesn’t show in dashboards does not have capability of messages to me and my view of gps on her is non existent. What the heck can I do?!

The gizmohub app does not work with the Galaxy S7.. I have tried everything that has been recommended on the net and nothing fixes the problem. I never get my security code SMS. I am so tired of trying to resolve this problem. I have never had an issue like this with any application.

The app is extremely slow why? Ridiculous and if an emergency to get ahold of someone I wouldnt recommend the phone. Very disappointed!!!!

Can't get the Gizmohub on my iPhone X to pair with my daughter's Gizmo. Just keeps telling me it can't connect and to try again. Verizon called LG while I was in the store and the response that was given was to give it a month or two for an update to fix the problem. Really? A month or two?

The watch we love and the app basics are good enough. This app is so incredibly slow that it’s nearly impossible to send a timely message or to retrieve received messages. Every update I hope it gets fixed but to no avail. Would also love for second parent to have the ability to do things like schedule reminders.

The idea is great, execution could use work. The app is super slow. The location is more of an approximate vs exact. If we are in a large park, it will pin him at the park but not where in the park. Right now it says we're at my neighbors address vs our home. The app could have better accuracy and needs more speed. I could fall asleep waiting to see how much battery life there is left.

The gizmo app is sooooooo slow. It's painful to pull up app and wait for message to load. It would be terrible if there was an emergency and I needed a message quickly!! Please fix this.

The app is painful. Why so slow???? There is no reason it should take so long to pull up the message app or switch between certain screens. Please fix.

Cant install the Gizmohub app on the secondary caregivers phone (my wife). It does not receive the security code to link the gizmo (iPhone 7). It seems like I'm not the only one having this problem. Not fare to my wife she needs this thing working! Come on! Get it fixed!

We had the exact issue. We had to unblock the short code text message sent from gizmo (we never blocked it but for some reason it says it was blocked). Make sure to call your phone company to unblock the short code text message. T-Mobile unblocked it and BAM it worked lol good luck guys!

Okay. After much trouble shooting. My Sprint account was the problem. I had checked numerous times my account online and although its says nothing is blocked in fact there was! I explained to them about not being able to send or reply to SHORTCODE MESSAGING and they fixed rite away. Good Luck all!

I just reset the watch to factory setting and this time I tried to link the app to my wifes' iPhone 7 as the primary care giver. No go! But yet It has no problem linking to my old iPhone 5c. I tried about ten times deleting the app and resetting to factory defaults. I can only surmise that the app does not like the iPhone 7! Bummer for those that have new phones! They need to fix!

I bought a gizmo gadget yesterday and have not been able to receive the security code to link the gizmo to my iPhone. Troubleshooting for more than 5 hours hasn't helped. Verizon points the finger at LG, LG blames Apple. No one has a solution for is. Ultimately, Verizon just said, "sorry, your device is just not compatible." This is very disappointing and may be the reason why I switch services if another cell provider can make it all work together.

This app worked great for over a year on my Samsung Galaxy. Now that I've switched to Apple Iphone7, it does not work properly. Can't send/receive texts at all sometimes and sometimes very delayed, notification bar covers the bar to call the Gizmo. App on Iphone 7 is TERRIBLE!

My son loves it and I love the idea of being able to communicate with him. The calling feature works great but the texting is AWFUL!! It'll take 30-45 minutes to get a text from him or for him to get mine. Ridiculous. I'm about to take it back and just get him a regular phone!
